Happy Father's Day! Doesn't Dave look happy? Ha... Our day started off with Dave at work at 3 am. Hayden and I got up and did our usual morning thing (we went to church last night), then we went to the grocery store to pick up a few items for dinner. We had steaks, fresh green beans, sweet potatoes, and cheescake w/fudge and caramel. I totally ruined my diet with that cheesecake, but it was worth it. I figured that we had dessert for Mother's Day, so Dave deserved dessert too. Anyways, I'm posting a few pics of our day and one of the dining room. Hopefully I will get the house clean enough tomorrow to take some more pics (I totally forgot to take some last week). Tonight we're just hanging out and watching TV. Right now Dave and Hayden are playing with some play-doh. I've got the kitchen relatively clean and laundry going in the washer and dryer. Why does housework never end?

House Project Pics

Well, as promised, here are a couple of house pics. Hopefully I will have some more (if I remember) after Tuesday night, when the house is totally put together. Anyway, the first two pics are before and afters. We got a fabulous deal on 4 dining room chairs at this salvage yard in Carrollton (all 4 for $136), but I'm having to paint them so they will match our hutch and go with our dining room a little better. I've painted 2 so far, and will paint the other 2 after next week. The next pic is of our chandelier in the dining room that I painted and the ceiling, which I painted silver. It's kind of funky, but I think it's going to be great when the room is finally put together. The last pic is of our newly installed light fixture and mirror in the RED 1/2 bath. Still not sure if I like it the way it is or if I will end up putting some sort of wash on it to tone it down a bit. Enjoy!

Yeah!!!!

Our computer is finally fixed!!! Yeah!!! It only took Dave a month of debating and 15 minutes of working on it to get it done. Ha! What can you do, huh? Well, I have some Mother's Day pics that I finally got on the computer. The Hearn's came on over and visited for the day and we had a great time. We got to eat all kinds of good food and visit and it was just a nice relaxing day. The first pic is of Hayden and Gramma (Dave's mom) with Grandmother (Dave's grandmother) in the background. The second pic is of Hayden and his Uncle Charlie playing guitar. The third is what happens to Hayden if he doesn't have a nap and sits still for longer than 30 seconds! This coming weekend I will be very busy. I have to finish picking up and cleaning and painting for my big open house on Tuesday night. I hope that some people from my neighborhood come and check out the changes and buy some BeautiControl.

Today we got up with the expectation of Dave driving to Atlanta to pick up his paycheck, but it went into our account at Wachovia that we needed to cancel. So, instead, we all piled up and ate lunch at McDonald's, then withdrew our money from Wachovia and drove to Carrollton (which is a 20 minute drive), and deposited it into our new credit union. Then, we headed to Target and spent too much money on dollor isle stuff and computer parts and a new swimsuit for Hayden. No luck in finding a new swimsuit for me. I can't wait to get started on my new diet and hopefully work off this 15 pounds I need to lose! I'm not doing very well on my weight loss, seeing as how we had pancakes for dinner. Oh well...gotta be bad sometimes!

Well, we have been busy busy busy this last month! I feel like I've been gone for 2 weeks! We went to Muscle Shoals for my nephews 2nd birthday, and got back last Tuesday. Then on Friday Hayden and I went to B'ham so that I could see Sex and The City with my girlfriends. I had a really fun time and it was a great post-birthday present. We plan on being home for a couple of weeks, but then on the 21st it's back to Muscle Shoals for a wedding and on the 28th I will head to B'ham for another wedding and have a girlfriends' getaway at Ross Bridge Resort and Spa. I'm having an open house on the 10th for BeautiControl to get my business going here.

We went to the pool this morning for the first time and it was great! We are really going to enjoy having access to it all summer! I think Hayden and I will go back later this afternoon. I really don't have any good pics, but one of Hayden with cake batter on his face. He loves to lick the blender parts and the bowl when I make something yummy! Dave is still working on our PC, so hopefully we'll be done with this awful laptop soon!

Sorry :(

Sorry I haven't blogged in while. Hayden and I were in Muscle Shoals for a week and then when I got home there was a storm and it fried our ethernet card on our computer. We didn't know what was wrong for a while. So, I have no pictures to post this time, but can just write about what we've been up to.

Well, as I said earlier, we went to Muscle Shoals for a week. While we were there, we went to a birthday party at Spring Park and Hayden rode the train and carousel and roller coaster. He had lots of fun and is still talking about going back to the birthday party. We basically just hung out the rest of the time, but Hayden got a fever virus while we were there, so we were out of commission for a couple of days.

When we got back it was Mother's Day weekend and Dave's family came on Sunday. We had ribs, seven layer salad, flatbread, corn on the cob, and a fantastic Butterfinger cake. I definitely can't eat like that every day, but enjoy it for special occassions. We had a good time visiting with them and then just chilled for the rest of the night.

Last Thursday we headed over to the "Ham" to spend the night and go to a funeral on Friday. I got to have some girl time with some friends on Thursday night, which was awesome. That's the one thing I'm not really getting here b/c I have no friends in Georgia. One of my girlfriends is preggers, and that's fun to talk about and everything. So basically I have Hayden from morning to night and it gets old sometimes. I love him and he's sweet as sugar, but jeez...everybody needs a break. Hayden got to "ride truck" at Gramma and Pops' house and have his uncles and aunt there along with us, so he is majorly out of sorts today from all of the attention.

Yesterday was Hayden's big gymnastics finale thing. He had lots of fun b/c it was basically another class and Dave got to finally see him do everything we had been talking about for the past few months, so it was great! Dave took video of him and we got a few pictures, so hopefully we can get that on here soon. He got to stand up on the podium and get a medal. Minus a breakdown due to no nap, he did really well and it was a fun day.

I finally finished painting the red in the half bathroom (never again will I have a red room), and I painted one coat of silver on the trey in the dining room (which is going to look super cool). Maybe I can get those rooms situated and pics put on of them soon. I plan on painting our master bath this week hopefully. I'm ready to get that sort of thing finished, so I can just keep up with the day-to-day chores.

So, that's us for the past couple of weeks and now Hayden wants to do Play-doh, so I guess I'll go.

Playground

Hayden loves going to the playground at Burger King where we live. The city doesn't really have a good playground and there aren't too many kids for him to play with at our neighborhood playground right now, so we usually head to the BK to have a little recreational break. When Dave was off on Thursday, we went there for dinner and Hayden had a lot of fun as usual. Dave hasn't really been there with us to play, so he was very paranoid (like I was the first time) when he couldn't see Hayden. Now when I go, I just let Hayden run around and play on his own (b/c there's only one way in and one way out), and sit back and relax. It was pretty funny to realize how overprotective we are sometimes. So, here are a few pics from Thursday and 2 random pictures of Hayden. One is of him "driving" the dune buggy and the other is pretty funny of him as a bride at the movie theater when we went to see "Horton Hears a Who" a month ago.
