Look Out!
Livee's mobile!!! She has been really working on crawling this past week and this morning she finally just did it! Of course she couldn't see us watching her or she would immediately stop, but she's doing it! Yay for her! Maybe I can video of her soon.
Everyone at church was astounded that I made this dress! Can't wait until she can wear all of her little sleeveless dresses this summer.

Alphabet Parade
Today was the Alphabet Parade at Hayden's preschool. It was so darn cute!!! We loved seeing all of the creative costumes. Only the 4 year old's participated, so they actually walked in a parade around the circle in the parking lot. All of the parents stood outside to see them so I'm sure they felt like little celebrities. My favorites, other than Hayden's, were a jelly bean costume and a Lego. I don't think the video will upload because it's too big, but here is Hayden's finished look. He was a zookeeper because he drew the letter Z!

Pictures

She's SO close to crawling. She scoots all over the floor now.
Hayden's Spring school picture -- 4 1/2 years old

She didn't like these sunglasses for very long, but this was really funny. :)

Busy little bees...
It's that time of year when you just want to work in your yard....NOT! Although today we did because it was overcast and very cool weather. We bought some mulch (not nearly enough...we'll be making several trips), flowers, and potting soil. Yes, I finally planted some annuals and perennials in my pots on my front porch. I'm also going to spray paint a box planter and try to find some sort of full shade flowering shrub to go there. I'm thinking of getting a camellia, so if you have any thoughts on that, let me know. We also borrowed a shovel and Dave split the 4 HUGE daylillies in the front bed. They were ridiculous, so much so that I don't think they were going to bloom this year. He didn't even split them as much as they could have been and they still yielded 17 (!) more. We gave a few away and replanted the rest in the same bed and a few around the mailbox. I'm hoping that the original bed becomes a beautiful daylily oasis in the next couple of years. We have also trimmed shrubs in the last few weeks and have started having the grass sprayed for weeds. We just couldn't get them under control. On the upside, the yard is really looking good now. There is still more to do in the next couple of weeks though. We have a couple of diseased azaleas that need to be transplanted and more mulch to put down. I have also decided to repaint our front door, so I need to pick some non-humid days to do that. All in all, we're making progress and I hope it can continue! I'll be sure to post some pictures when I complete the front door and the daylillies bloom (if they do this year).

9 months old!
Livee is 9 months old! We took her to the doctor today for her checkup and she is 14 lbx, 13 oz. and almost 27 inches. I spoke with the doctor about her 6 month checkup and he said that her stats looked fine even then and that the nurse practitioner who freaked me out so bad is no longer working there.
Recently she has started fake laughing and fake crying, as well as throwing mini fits. I know, I know, she's too young. But she does throw fits, I swear. I will take away something that she doesn't need to play with and she lolls her head back and gives it all she's got. If her cry wasn't so pitiful and deafening, it would be funny. She even produces tears! What a little drama queen we have. It's the same thing if she falls. She cries for at least 3 minutes. I don't know how we're ever going to make it when she starts walking.
She can turn completely around sitting on her booty using her heels, and she lunges for everything. She kind of gets up on her knees now, but just flops to her belly and then starts crying again. She really wants to get moving, but just hasn't figured it out. Recently Dave started "walking" with her. She picks her feet up quite well and then that's all she wants to do all day. Wish we had a walker that she wasn't too short for. :)
She still only has a tiny bit of hair. I've had a bow in it a couple of times, but that's it. I don't care for those headbands with the obnoxiously large bow on them that ends up being the same size as the baby's head. I would just rather have a bald baby.
She finally cut a tooth on the bottom last week! It was about 5 days of agony and she's still fussy, so maybe the other one is coming in now. With Hayden, we didn't even know anything was wrong. He just woke up one morning and had two teeth on the bottom. Of course we are making up for that now, so all's fair.
She has started babbling a lot now too. She says ma-ma when she's upset, ba-ba-ba when she's talking, and squeals when something's funny. She still plays bashful with people, too. She'll smile and then hide her face. She's a content and sweet little baby who loves her big brother more than anybody! He can make her laugh when no one else can.
