What a lot of rain...

So, my friends and family in Alabama had been complaining about the rain all of last week. I thought I knew what they were talking about until yesterday, when the rain hit us. We have had so much rain that we are under flood watches, advised not to go out on the roads, and schools are closed. We also have to boil water until tomorrow because of some issues with the water plant due to the flooding. Dave didn't think he was going to make it home from work last night. He ended up having to get off of the interstate because it was a parking lot due to a crash (because of the rain), and that ended up being bad also. County roads = not so good when it comes to flooding. We are glad that he made it home safe and sound, and we will probably not leave the house today, except maybe to get some milk and bread and water. No, not because milk and bread are the 2 necessities whenever there is a storm...because we just happen to be out of those two things. :) Lucky for us that Publix is 2 minutes from our house. So, have a happy day in your non-flooded area and enjoy your water that you don't have to boil!
